SIMOPS / SIPROD Assessment

OVERVIEW

SIMultaneous OPerationS (SIMOPS) is define as two or more simultaneous work activities that can or cannot be carried out within the same location at the same time on a facility. The activities are captured as part of a Matrix and It’s intent is to function as a guide to minimize and control risks to personnel, environment and assets when performing concurrent work activities within a given condition during operations. SImultaneous PRODuction and Drilling (SIPROD) is define as SImultaneously activities of Production & Drilling being carried out within the same location at the same time on a facility. The nature of conducting these activities is extremely hazardous and risky. However, it may be financially attractive to maintain production while drilling, thus avoiding the potential loss or delay of production. These activities are captured as part of a Matrix and It’s intent is to function as a guide to minimize and control risks to personnel, environment and assets when performing simultaneous drilling and production activities during operations. PRISM is well versed and has extensive experience in conducting SIMOPS / SIPROD Risk assessments and developing the respective matrices. We have experienced facilitators for SIMOPS / SIPROD reviews in a workshop environment.
